I always wanted to use that title and now I can because that is exactly what the newest member of my shade collection falls into. So sublime and exquisitely cool! This new addition will get worn a lot more than the others because they are such a classic fashion and they are a cut above the rest. I love the two tone retro colors of plum and lilac. They have UV protection to the max and they are Carrera! Wow, I know! I have wanted a pair of the famous Carrera Sunglasses for the longest time. They are so ubber cute on, with their hippy look they are perfect for an early morning stroll through the market and window shopping. They came in a very high class case so they don’t get easily broken or scratched. The construction of the glasses is tight and the alignment is perfect for my face.

I really love these girls! Sorry to make you jealous! (Laughs)

Boots are the Bomb!

I love to wear boots and I see a lot of you girls love to wear them too. Everywhere I go no matter what area of the country that is a fashion staple. I found the coolest pair of UGG Boots online for a really low price that I love. The UGGs are so cute all full of warmth and such a funky boot that they go with anything and go anywhere. They also carry Clarks, New Balance and Skeechers just to name a few. There was free shipping and no sales tax. There is no better way to save money when you are shopping! The pictures are really clear and you can drill down to the brand name you want from the home screen. It is so easy even a cave man could do it! Ha-ha! Ok maybe not but he would get some cool boots if he did!

Fashion can be timeless but it is also borderless because you can find fashion anywhere in the world now with all the excellent websites now available. I recently checked one out called def-shop.com and it has some looks that you are not going to find everywhere and of course new ideas to keep your look fresh and interesting. I like that you can change the settings for the language and it shows in English, German, etc. Nice touch. I really love the pop up pictures too, because all you do it float your mouse over a picture on a catalog page and the zoom view comes up for a closer look. Then there are some cool lines like Karl Kani Ladies which offers sizes in XS and S so I can find my size! I know there are lots of bigger beautiful ladies but don’t forget us small size ones too! This website has a lot of variety and they will ship anywhere so check it out and don’t forget who told you first!

There are so many people getting married right now and it makes me feel good hope for everyone. I love the fashion created for weddings because that is the one day that everyone is at their most beautiful. I know it is not easy to find just the right wedding dress and to make sure all of your bridesmaid dresses are perfect for the occasion. Right now my friend Heather is going to be in the wedding of her friend on June 5 and she has gone three times to David’s Bridal Shop to try on dresses. I am jealous because I really want to be a bridesmaid too so I can wear one of those lovely gowns! I keep going to their website (really cool btw check it out) and dreaming of the ones I would wear! I would not even mind trying them on over and over again until the bride finds her favorite! Some day!

Plan Early for a Fashion Career

Many of you are just like me and have loved fashion from an early age. Even though I was a poor kid, I still loved to look at magazines and dress up my dollies when I was playing. Now that I am more matured, (maybe!) I realize that the sooner you start to think about a career in fashion the better chance you will have of making your dreams come true.

One thing you can do at any age is study the industry. You don’t have to own a computer to do this girls. Remember books? They are available for free in your local library and the history of fashion is well documented. Beyond books the library is full of magazine subscriptions to the major fashion rags. Should you have a computer at your disposal the sites that follow fashion are in the thousands. Find one that appeals to you and visit it often but remember to read the news not just look at the hot new looks. One day you will want to know the leaders in the fashion industry in the direction you want to go be it modeling, design or marketing.

When you are ready to make your future come true there are modeling schools you can attend. Don’t go with one of those that want you to pay for modeling lessons. When you have the right stuff to be a model the agencies will want you not your money so be cautious. Design schools are available in most major metropolitan areas and many offer scholarships for good students.

My advice is don’t just dream. Make a plan and set goals for yourself because not everyone who is successful in the fashion world got noticed when she was a gorgeous, long legged teenager. You got to make your own noise!

Halloween Fashion Already?

I know it seems way too early but those crazy Halloween parties are right around the corner. You need to find a good costume because putting on that moth eaten gorilla mask and a tutu is just not going to cut it this year in the world of fashion. So, as you know I am always here for you and I have done the research for you so you can be trendy for Halloween 2009! Its ok you can thank me later.

The costume that you are going to be really tired of fast will be Michael Jackson. The industry is expecting a run on Michael and a strong trend of 1980s style in the new costumes coming out is expected. You could go as other dead people like Farrah Fawcett or Ed McMahon but then everyone would be “seeing dead people” on Halloween! How about going as a Star Trek character? Captain Kirk or Spock are both great for guys and you can go as Lt Uhura, she was one sexy chick! So think 1980s and go as Donna Summers or Elton John! The 80s have lots of material and easy to create looks. Enjoy and save me some candy!
