After the blogs about Lady Gaga admiration for fashion designing. Next is the 21-year-old Harry Potter’s leading actress who played the role as Hermione Granger, made her modelling debut with British luxury fashion house Burberry. Emma Watson is also challenging herself creativity and started taking fabric-cutting, design and sewing classes. Not to mention she’s already designed a line of T-shirts and wants to expand her skills to create bespoke evening wear.

Fake? Don’t Support It!

So many designers are up in arms over fake copies of their hard work and I am with them 99.99%. Ebay recently joined in on a online battle and offered like ten designer purses from top fashion designers like Jason Wu, Sophie Theallet and Rebecca Minkoff. They had a big kickoff party in New York and are fighting well drinking wine mad about knockoffs of their work. I believe that they have a right to their ownership but they are so expensive and what about the people who can’t afford a designer bag? This is an ongoing issue and I am supportive of their cause but I believe some kind of compromise will need to be worked out. Because after all! Even poor girls love fashion! =)

The actress-model Jessica Simpson is goin to take up the role of a mentor as aspiring designers on NBC fashion reality show called “FASHION STAR”. According to Femalefirst.co.uk Elle McPherson will host the show and Jessica will be helping the contestants with their weekly challenges as they compete for a multi million-dollar contract to launch their own brand. WOW! I am so excited to see the kind of clothes they’ll be wearing as I am big of fan of Simpson’s Fashion style. Jessica Simpson is so talented she has several hits from the past years in the pop scene and it known for her unique fashion sense. Her acting has never received rave reviews but her faithful fans flock to the cinema to what watch her on screen. I think this is going to be a hit show. So gurlies don’t miss it!

Rory Longdon: Top Award,Graduate Fashion Week

Just a little update of what happened during the Graduate Fashion Week 2011 that was held in London on Wednesday night. The annual event students in UK showcase their best fashion design with their six piece collections on the catwalk.

The British Fashion Awards poppped up once again for their annual apreciation of designers world wide. It is surely an internation look even though it is a U.K Award. That notables that showed up Victoria Beckham, Elle MacPherson and Mary J. Blige. This prestigious award always go to those who push the envelope of fashion to the other edge. But still have a look that you can see on Red carpets and run ways from New York to Hollywood. My favorite is Victoria Beckham who has her own label which no one thought would succeed! I’m always a champion of the under dog no matter how rich they already are. Ha-ha! The end!

His fashion designs Amato Haute Couture are known for original beadwork infuzed into the gowns with unique hand stitching that has garnered attention from the Paris fashion scene when Heidi Klum engaged Furne One to design the gowns for the closing finalle of her show. His designs merging both Eastern and Western styles and Swarovski jewels are a marvel to behold. You are making us proud Furne One and stunning the fashion world!

Stars Celebrate McQueen’s Life

Alexander McQueen the fashion designer who took his life the night before his mother’s funeral was honored by many who wore and loved his fashion. The lights were out for Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney as they gathered at St Paul’s Cathedral in the United Kingdom. Bjork sang “Gloomy SUnday” and was decked out all in white with angel wings adorning his back. Many people chose to wear the tartan which was McQueen’s trademark for his trendy designs. Described as a complex man with dark and light sides McQueen’s memorial was touching to those who followed him.

Plan Early for a Fashion Career

Many of you are just like me and have loved fashion from an early age. Even though I was a poor kid, I still loved to look at magazines and dress up my dollies when I was playing. Now that I am more matured, (maybe!) I realize that the sooner you start to think about a career in fashion the better chance you will have of making your dreams come true.

One thing you can do at any age is study the industry. You don’t have to own a computer to do this girls. Remember books? They are available for free in your local library and the history of fashion is well documented. Beyond books the library is full of magazine subscriptions to the major fashion rags. Should you have a computer at your disposal the sites that follow fashion are in the thousands. Find one that appeals to you and visit it often but remember to read the news not just look at the hot new looks. One day you will want to know the leaders in the fashion industry in the direction you want to go be it modeling, design or marketing.

When you are ready to make your future come true there are modeling schools you can attend. Don’t go with one of those that want you to pay for modeling lessons. When you have the right stuff to be a model the agencies will want you not your money so be cautious. Design schools are available in most major metropolitan areas and many offer scholarships for good students.

My advice is don’t just dream. Make a plan and set goals for yourself because not everyone who is successful in the fashion world got noticed when she was a gorgeous, long legged teenager. You got to make your own noise!

Dolce & Gabbana Ode to the Corset

The corset has been one of the sexiest items in the closet since medieval times and at the Fashion Week in Milan Dolce & Gabbana paid tribute. Models decked in corsets of rose prints, denim, leopard spots and black lace mounted the stage in force. Gabbana who was back stage stated that the corset would be a must have for next spring and summer fashion. I love the figure enhancing lines of a corset but I cringe at the thought of layering it up and breathing! Corsets were considered very uncomfortable in all times and I have my doubts over a comeback outside of the boudoir! Getting custom silicone bracelets with this outfit will definitely makes you look unique and attractive.

Fashion Designer:Child Molester Sentenced to 3 x 53 Years

Perhaps in one of the largest cases concerning molestation and Anand Jon Alexander was convicted last November 2008. Alexander is now acting as his own attorney and has filed an appeal on his own behalf since firing his former team of attorneys. The appeal comes after the same judge indicted Alexander’s sister and a former juror for contempt of court for contact during the trial.

Anand Jon Alexander was featured on “America’s Next Top Model” way back in 2003 before all of this trouble came to light. He was convicted of rape and molestation of seven girls! He was also charged for child pornography as he was videotaping his crimes as well. I am sure it won’t do him any good to defend himself because they always say the man that acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client! Once this current trial is over he will be extradited to New York and stand trial for the same charges with nine other women named as victims. Anand has been a very busy sleaseball!
